Tsinghua High School hosts teachers and students from Berkeley Preparatory School
From March 19 to 31, 2018, 12 students from Berkeley Preparatory School, led by team teachers Jonathan Olson and Engel-Penaloza Luz Marina, visited Tsinghua High School。
In the following exchange activities, the students stayed in the home of the exchange students with our school, and ate and lived with their partners in the Chinese family, and they were close。They visited the hutongs in Beijing together, tasted the authentic Beijing snacks, and also visited the National Museum and other places under the guidance of their classmates。This not only creates good conditions for our students to carry out cross-cultural communication, language learning and cultivate self-care ability, but also deepens American students' understanding of Chinese history, culture and tradition。Under the careful arrangement of the High School attached to Tsinghua University, the teachers and students of Berkeley Preparatory School also visited the Forbidden City, the Great Wall, the Old Summer Palace, the Summer Palace and other places of interest, and had a preliminary taste of the water, light and mountains of Beijing, the unique culture and long history of Beijing, and experienced the rapid changes of the capital。

Berkeley Preparatory School and Tsinghua High School signed an exchange visit agreement in 2013, aiming to establish and expand the exchange activities between the teachers and students of the two schools, help the visiting teachers and students to understand the culture of different countries and strengthen the language learning。In recent years, mutual visits and exchanges between the two schools have deepened the friendship between the teachers and students of the two schools and the understanding of the culture, history and traditions of the two countries。This visit to Berkeley Preparatory School is to hope that teachers and students of the two schools can have more in-depth cultural exchanges, so that students can experience different education and learning methods in foreign countries。
The visit of Berkeley Preparatory School is a return visit to the United States for our exchange in January。
